Kristen Wiig Cast as Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2

Kristen Wiig has been officially cast as the supervillian Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2 (2019). There had been rumors of Wiig circling the role but now it has been confirmed. What was not confirmed in the movie casting news is which incarnations of Cheetah that Kristen Wiig will be portraying. There are four: Priscilla Rich, Deborah Domaine, Barbara Anne Minerva, or Sebastian Ballesteros. Since Wiig version of the character is a woman, Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2 will not Sebastian Ballesteros. That leaves the three female incarnations of the character.

Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in Wonder Woman 2 will have her hands full with Cheetah. Cheetah, granted powers by the plant-god Urzkartaga, “possesses superhuman speed, reaction time, strength and durability to an unknown degree. Her sense of smell has also been enhanced and she is able to see in the dark. Her claws and fangs are preternaturally sharp.”

Director Patty Jenkins is returning for Wonder Woman 2. The script for Wonder Woman 2, incomplete at this point, is being written by Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham.
