Wonder Woman Clip and TV Spots

Warner Bros. has released a movie clip and six movie TV commercials for Wonder Woman (2017). Wonder Woman is going to be released in three weeks. With the upcoming release looming, new TV spots and a movie clip have begun being released for Wonder Woman. The Wonder Woman movie clip is entitled Alley Fight.  The Wonder Woman TV spots are entitled: Together, Power, Goddess, Bang Bang, Danger, and Fight.

After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I was on the fence about the prospect of a good Wonder Woman film actually being created by Warner Bros. I like aspects of what I am seeing in the clip and TV spots. I just wish that Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) had been kept in her Amazonian world for the entire film. Seeing her having to deal with the dangers and threats from the ancient time period of that island.

In that setting, Wonder Woman could actually be killed thus she would be in peril. Off the island, Wonder Woman is super-powered and immortal (speculation). Where’s the danger in that scenario? It’s like watching the Hulk facing a human threat. The viewer knows nothing can hurt the Hulk and they know the same about Wonder Woman.

In addition, since the origin film is coming out after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and after the Justice League trailer, we know that Wonder Woman survives her adventures in this Wonder Woman film. We know the ending going into the film. Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment made a mistake with the order that these films were released. They should have released the origin films first.

Wonder Woman‘s plot synopsis: “Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.”

Patty JenkinsWonder Woman also stars Doutzen Kroes, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Bern Collaco, Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis,  Connie Nielsen, Elena Valdameri, James Rumell, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Dino Fazzani, and David Terry.
