Wonder Woman Comic-Con Trailer

Patty JenkinsWonder Woman (2017) movie trailer from the 2016 San Diego Comic Con International stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, and Danny Huston. Wonder Woman‘s plot synopsis: “Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.”

The first thing I thought while writing up this article was: Why does Diana, an Amazon living in Themyscira, speak perfect English? Why doesn’t she speak Latin or Greek? Questions, questions.

The trailer is very good, with Wonder Woman mounting a trench ladder and fighting numerous enemies on the battlefield during World War 1. It was quite impressive and reminded me of similar scenes in Captain America: The First Avenger. Some of this footage was soon previously but the viewer really gets to see Wonder Woman in action in this trailer. Viewers also got to see those fighting skills in the abomination for a superhero film that will not be named.

I get the bullets bouncing off of Wonder Woman’s armor but will bullet do the same when they hit her skin? Is her skin bullet proof, i.e. like Luke Cage’s skin, as well?

I didn’t really like the gun plane scene. It was a little too CGI for me but the scenes surrounding it were good.

Wonder Woman also stars David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Bern Collaco, Dino Fazzani, Elena Valdameri, James Rumell, and David Terry.
