X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016): New Concept Art Emerges as Bryan Singer Details Film’s Origin Story

X-Men: Apocalypse Concept Art

Bryan Singer Says X-Men: Apocalypse Will Mark the Origins of the X-Men. After six films, director Bryan Singer says we will finally see the start of the X-Men that we all know from the first movie. We may be a little cynical about that but we shall see once X-Men: Apocalypse releases.

Bryan Singer gave a few tidbits on the upcoming X-Men film in the latest issue of EW. The director described the film as somewhat of a finale to all the X-Men films before it and will mark the chapter that gives birth to the true X-Men. “This is kind of a conclusion of six X-Men films, yet a potential rebirth of younger, newer characters.  This is the true birth of the X-Men. This is how it happens.”

Based on what Singer said, our guess would be that the movie would bring the formation of the core team from the original trilogy. In the concept art, it features a scene where someone disturbs the tome of Apocalypse. Since this is the origin of mutants, it will be interesting to see the link between Apocalypse and the X-Men when the film comes out next year.
