Sean Teale

Sean Teale To Play New Mutant In Fox’s X-Men Series

Reign star Sean Teale joins the cast of Fox‘s planned X-Men TV spin-off series as a character created specifically for the show.

In addition to his starring role on the aforementioned CW series, Teale has appeared in a number of other television productions. Having guest roles in episodes of Summer in Transylvania, The Bible, and Mr. Selfridge, the actor has also been featured in Syfy‘s original TV film Abominable Snowman and Lifetime‘s miniseries The Red Tent. On top of this, he had a starring role in Syfy’s drama Incorporated, which ended last month after one season.

The news that Teale will have a role in the series comes in the wake of the announcement that Stephen Moyer would play the lead character in the program. Teale’s character, Marcos Diaz or Eclipse as he is also known, is described as “passionate” and a “strong-willed fighter” who is able to absorb and control photons.

Superherohype, the source of this story, quotes Fox Entertainment chief David Madden as follows:

“Developing a Marvel property has been a top priority for the network–and we are so pleased with how Matt Nix has led us into this thrilling universe,” Fox Entertainment president David Madden said back in July when the show was announced. “There’s comic book adventure, emotional and complicated relationships, and a rich, existing mythology from which to draw. With the brilliant production crew behind this project, it has all the makings of a big, fun and exciting new series.”

**** We hired Reggie, fulfilled our obligations to him, and he quit in the middle of covering two TV series w/ no notice and no explanation. He then ignored our emails asking him to complete his coverage (we had no one else to cover those TV shows). He didn't care. We regret hiring him and we regret putting our trust in him. **** An aspiring writer, longtime film junkie, and former UCLARadio.com disc jockey (where I graduated with a BA in Political Science), I've made the jump from penning book reviews and current events editorials for HonorSociety.org to writing movie and TV news and reviews. When I'm not working towards my certificate in Radio and Television/Video Production at Fullerton College, I enjoy reading (horror, science fiction, and historical/political nonfiction are particular favorites), participating in my school's TV and theatre clubs, attending movie screenings, plays, concerts, and other events, and trying to come up with pithy things to say on social media. Believe it or not, there are occasions where I find time to write for my own leisure.
