D.J. Caruso‘s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage (2017) movie trailer stars Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev, Samuel L. Jackson, Toni Collette, and Donnie Yen. xXx: The Return of Xander Cage‘s plot synopsis: “Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons.”

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage looks as though it will be a full-blown blast. Instead of Xander Cage performing insane stunts while on mission alone, this time he has a team of X-Sport secret agents.

Ruby Rose gets more screen / voice time during the trailer than I would have thought but she is extremely photogenic and popular in the U.K. Her stint on Orange is the New Black doesn’t hurt either. Showing her in this trailer and ending it with her was a shrewd move audience-wise. The same can be said about showing Tony Jaa fighting his way through some bad guys.

Paramount Pictures really locked down its international distribution sales with the international casting for this film. It must have been one of easiest international distribution sales for Paramount all year.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage also stars Deepika Padukone, Hermione Corfield, Conor McGregor, Kris Wu, Al Sapienza, Andrey Ivchenko, Helena-Alexis Seymour, Michael Bisping, and Megan Soo.
