Young Adult Trailer. Jason Reitman‘s Young Adult (2011) movie trailer stars Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson, Patton Oswalt, J.K. Simmons, and Elizabeth Reaser. Young Adult‘s plot synopsis: written by Diablo Cody, “Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of YA teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms a bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either.”
The movie trailer had me smiling multiple times with one real laugh toward the end. Writer Diablo Cody seems to be going back to basics by writing another comedy.
Young Adult also stars Emily Meade, Collette Wolfe, Brady Smith, Louisa Krause, Ella Rae Peck, Hettienne Park, Brian McElhaney, and Jenny Dare Paulin.
