2017 TV Show Trailers for the Upcoming Seasons of: Homeland, Billions, Six, Legion, Sherlock Holmes, Sense8, and Sneaky Pete

New TV show trailers and promos have been released for numerous primetime and cable TV show series. Those programs include Homeland and Billions on Showtime, Six on History, Legion on FX, Sherlock Holmes on BBC / PBS, Sense8 on Netflix, and Sneaky Pete on Hulu.

Homeland: Season 6

Homeland: Season 6’s plot synopsis: “Back on U.S. soil, this season focuses on the aftermath of a U.S. presidential election and the transition between election day and the inauguration for a president-elect, played by acclaimed stage and screen actress Elizabeth Marvel. After she thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin, season six picks up several months later and finds Carrie Mathison (Danes) living in Brooklyn, New York. She has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Season six will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between election day and the inauguration. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect.

Homeland: Season 6 stars Emmy, Screen Actors Guild® and Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes, Emmy nominee Rupert Friend, Elizabeth Marvel, Oscar® winner and Emmy nominee F. Murray Abraham, and Emmy and Tony® Award winner Mandy Patinkin.

Homeland: Season 6 guest stars include Hill Harper (Limitless), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash), Jake Weber (Medium), and Dominic Fumusa (NURSE JACKIE).

Billions: Season 2

Billions: Season 2’s plot synopsis: “Season two picks up immediately after the season one finale, as hard-charging U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) squares off against billionaire hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis), scorching the earth in a costly war for personal domination. It’s law versus money, with power, sex, and the soul of New York in the balance. Maggie Siff stars as Wendy Rhoades, Chuck’s estranged wife and the top performance coach in the hedge fund world. Malin Akerman plays Lara Axelrod, Axe’s fiercely loyal and street-smart wife. Season two finds the characters vying for control in a changing world that presents an existential threat. For all of them, it’s a choice between evolution and extinction.”

Billions: Season 2 stars Oscar® nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis.

Billions: Season 2 will premiere on February 19, 2017 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Sense8: Christmas Special

Sense8‘s plot synopsis: “One moment links 8 minds in disparate parts of the world, putting 8 strangers in each other’s lives, each other’s secrets, and in terrible danger.”

Sense8 stars Doona Bae, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista, and Joe Pantoliano.

Sense8: Christmas Special premieres on Netflix on December 23, 2016. The second season of Sense8 will be released on May 5, 2017.

Sneaky Pete: Season 1

Sneaky Pete: Season 1’s plot synopsis: “Sneaky Pete revolves around a con-man (Giovanni Ribisi) who, after leaving prison, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. He moves in with Pete’s unsuspecting family and is roped into the family’s bail bond business. In order to keep the charade up, he plays the part of a skip tracer, taking down criminals worse than himself — and discovering a family life he’s never had.”

Sneaky Pete: Season 1 also stars Emmy-winner Margo Martindale (The Americans, Justified), Marin Ireland (Homeland, Masters of Sex), Libe Barer (Parenthood), Peter Gerety (The Wire), and Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie).

Ten-episode, Season One of Sneaky Pete will begin airing on January 13, 2017 on Amazon.

The Path: Season 2 Trailer

The Path: Season 2’s plot synopsis: “The Path follows a family at the center of a controversial cult movement as they struggle with relationships, faith and power. Each episode takes an in-depth look at the gravitational pull of belief and what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want. The series blends elements of mystery-thriller, romance and the supernatural.”

The Path: Season 2 stars Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy, Rockmond Dunbar, Kyle Allen, Aimee Laurence, Britne Oldford, Emma Greenwell, James Remar, and Clark Middleton.

The Path: Season 2 will be released on January 25, 2017 on Hulu.

Six: Season 1

Six: Season 1’s plot synopsis: “”SIX” follows Navy SEAL Team Six, the best of the best, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.

“SIX” revolves around a rescue mission in Nigeria, in which SEAL Team 6 is called in to retrieve a captured American soldier who was once a former troop leader of SIX, played by Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, FX’s Justified).

Six: Season 1 stars Barry Sloane (Revenge), Kyle Schmid (Copper), Edwin Hodge (Chicago Fire), Juan Pablo Raba (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dominic Adams (Devious Maids), Nondumiso Tembe (True Blood), and Nadine Velazquez (The League).

Eight-episode, Six: Season 1 will begin airing on January 18, 2017 on the History.

Sherlock Holmes: Season 4

Sherlock: Season 4’s plot synopsis: “Enter the world of the world’s only consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), and his long-suffering, faithful friend, Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman).”  In Season 4, Sherlock is forced to reveal his “darkest secret” by a menacing new villain, played by Toby Jones.

Sherlock: Season 4 stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss, Toby Jones, Una Stubbs, Louise Brealey, and Andrew Scott.

Sherlock: Season 4 will premiere in the UK and the US on January 1, 2017 on BBC and PBS.

Legion: Season 1

Legion: Season 1’s plot synopsis: “Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years.
