Nathan Fillion And Tony Hale Sign On For A Series Of Unfortunate Events

Nathan Fillion and Tony Hale are among the latest actors to join the cast of Netflix‘s A Series of Unfortunate Events in the show’s second season.

Both Fillion and Hale are known for their involvements with fan favorite internet and TV properties. The former, of course, portrayed Captain Hammer in Joss Whedon‘s wildly-popular webseries Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and the latter is recognizable as Buster Bluth on the cult favorite comedy series Arrested Development. Outside of these productions, Fillion has appeared in Saving Private Ryan, Much Ado About Nothing, and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters, while Hale has acted in The Angry Birds Movie and Veep.

Additionally, Sara Rue, Lucy Punch, and Roger Bart are set to appear in the show’s second season. It was not announced who any of the actors added to the series’ cast will play however.

Comingsoon.net, the source of this story, shares the following information about the program:

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny — whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.
