Billy Eichner Signs On For Season Seven Of American Horror Story

Emmy Award-nominated Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner is set to join the cast of American Horror Story for its seventh season.

If one were to go only by his resume, it would be difficult to not be surprised that Eichner has been offered a role in the wildly popular FX horror anthology series. In addition to hosting the aforementioned comedy program, Eichner is probably best known for his role as Craig Middlebrooks on NBC‘s Parks and Recreation, joining the show in its sixth season and becoming a regular on its seventh. But to be fair, American Horror Story is no stranger to unusual casting. Indeed, the last season, subtitled Hotel, saw music superstar Lady Gaga play a 111-year-old vampire in a regular role.

With Roanoke, the sixth season, just finishing this past November, little has been revealed about the seventh season aside from the fact that it deals with the results of the 2016 presidential election. Thanks to today’s news, however, we also know that Eichner will play a part in the series.

Deadline, the source of this story, shares the following:

Little is known about the premise of the new AHS installment beyond the fact that it is set in the aftermath of the recent presidential election, with the first episode taking place on Election Night.

Murphy previously cast Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel, which earned her a Golden Globe award. The same installment also featured an arc by New Girl funnyman Max Greenfield.
