Margot Robbie American Psycho Vogue Video

The Margot Robbie, American Psycho video is directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost. The spoof video, entitled “Margot Robbie’s Beauty Routine Is Psychotically Perfect,” was created by Vogue Magazine. This American Psycho parody video was produced by Moxie Pictures and Orlee-Rose Strauss.

This video is almost a shot-by-shot recreation of the opening scene from the 2000 film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel. That film was directed by Mary Harron and starred Christian Bale.

The dialogue in the Vogue video is directly from the Harron film with comedic twists here and there:

“There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction…there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.”
