This video is almost a shot-by-shot recreation of the opening scene from the 2000 film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel. That film was directed by Mary Harron and starred Christian Bale.
The dialogue in the Vogue video is directly from the Harron film with comedic twists here and there:
“There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction…there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory.
