ARROW: Black Canary to Unfold in a Three-Part Episode

Black Canary Arrow

Laurel Lance to Be Black Canary in a Trilogy of Arrow Episodes. Ever since the photos of Black Canary were released, fans have been wondering when exactly will Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) will don the suit. Well, it’s been revealed that the Black Canary will come in the second half of Arrow.

Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that we would have a first glimpse of the Black Canary in the Arrow half of the show’s crossover with The Flash. However, the producer said that the show would hold on the good stuff further down the line.

Ever since the beginning of Arrow, we all knew that Laurel would one day become the Black Canary sometime in the future. It was pretty much confirmed that she would become the vigilante after her sister Sara was murdered. Apparently, the show has been building up her character after seeing her train with Wildcat so its good that we will see the final product sooner rather than later. Andrew also said how Laurel’s story would unfold in a three-part trilogy to air during the second half of Arrow’s current season.

Laurel appears in the Arrow episode. She’s not as present in these episodes, but that is because we’ve been building up to her appearance as the Black Canary. We sort of said that Sara was the Canary, but Laurel is the Black Canary. Episodes 10, 11 and 12 are a three-part trilogy that are about her. And episode 13 I think I can spoil, is called ‘Canaries.’ For fans of Laurel and for fans of Katie [Cassidy], they’re going to get more than their fill after the winter break.
