ARROW: EP Teases Flashback For Season Six Premiere [The CW]

EP Teases Flashbacks in Arrow’s Sixth Season Premiere

After five seasons, Arrow has come full circle with flashbacks from the island, so we shouldn’t be expecting anymore of them. However, it seems like we may get more when The CW superhero series returns this fall for it’s sixth season. But, there is a twist to these flashbacks.

Talking with Access Hollywood, Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim gave a tease of what we can expect during the season six premiere, including another flashback on the island of Lian Yu. However, there is a twist in that. When asked if the premiere flashback would head back to the island, Guggenheim was hesitant before saying, “If you take me literally at my word, yes, back to the island.” Before any of you start getting frustrated, Guggenheim had this to say on the flashbacks:

We were in the room yesterday and we were going through the flashbacks and we got to the final beat of the flashbacks, I turned to all the writers and said ‘Oh my God, we’re done,’” adding that he was relieved the island flashback storyline is done.

So what’s going on? Well, during the season five finale, bombs were detonated on Lian Yu and left the fates of Team Arrow up in the air, including Slade Wilson, Nyssa, and Talia. It seems like the flashbacks that Guggenheim are referring to can be from what happened at that moment when Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was on the boat with Prometheus (Josh Segarra). What do you guys think?
