ARROW: Flashpoint To Resurrect Laurel Lance During Midseason [The CW]

Arrow’s Midseason Premiere Brings Laurel Lance Back

It looks like Flashpoint will have a greater effect on Arrow than we originally thought. It appears that a beloved character will return to The CW series during midseason due to the effects of Flashpoint. EP Wendy Mericle revealed that Laurel Lance would make her return.

Season fourth of Arrow may not have been the best season for fans, especially after Katie Cassidy’s Black Canary was killed off. However, season five looks to be promising as the show is returning to it’s roots thanks to some time shifting from The Flash. With Barry changing the timeline, it looks like Laurel won’t be dead this time.

During an interview with TV Guide, EP Wendy Mericle opened up about Flashpoint and its effects causing Laurel Lance to come back. “I can tell you that we’re really excited about having her back,” said Mericle. Talking about Katie’s return, Mericle added:

You will see in the episodes where she appears – Episode 510 definitely, our midseason premiere. Keep your eyes out for that. We’re so excited about getting to work with her again and her willingness to come back. It’s one of the fun parts of the show. People can leave and get killed and you can still find new and crazy ways for them to come back. I can definitely tell you that there’s a way we’re going to bring her back and she’s going to be alive and well. And Flashpoint might have a little bit to do with that.

So everyone can now be at ease knowing that Laurel Lance is coming back to Arrow, but will she be the same one we all remember?
