Warner Bros. Pursuing Rights To Remake Attack On Titan
Warner Bros. is reportedly in the middle of talks to secure the rights to make a new film version of Attack on Titan.
The manga was previously adapted into an anime as well as for the big screen by Shinji Higuchi, who is also known for his work on last year’s Shin Godzilla. With Paramount Pictures due to release the highly-anticipated Ghost in the Shell later this year, it appears that Warner Bros. has endeavored to jump on the anime adaptation bandwagon while it still appears to be hot.
The only name said to be attached to the project at this point is David Heyman. Heyman boasts an impressive track record as a producer for such movies as Gravity, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Paddington, the Harry Potter series and its sister franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
