AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (2015): Film to Do Reshoots in January

Joss Whedon Age of Ultron

Reshoots Taking Place in January for Avengers: Age of Ultron. It looks like the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron will be getting even bigger as Joss Whedon and the rest of the film crew plan on coming together in January for two weeks of reshooting at Pinewood Studios.

The Daily Mail reported that some additional shooting will take place at England’s well-known studio for “a bit more kiss-ass on an extravagant scale.” In other words, we are getting more action than we can possibly ask for. The film will reassemble the cast of Robert Downey Jr,, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and even Tom Hiddleston for the reshoots.

It was back in November that actor Idris Elba, who plays Heimdall in the Thor movies, said that he and Tom’s Loki would return for Age of Ultron. So it would seem that Joss Whedon has listened to fans and are giving them what they want, which is more screen time for Loki.

Despite hearing about the reshoots, fans shouldn’t take this as a sign that the film is in trouble, but simply as a way for the film to be even better. Plus the good news of Loki being in the film should ease fans with anticipation. Hopefully this also means that Whedon plans on an after-credits scene involving Thanos to tease us with the two-part Avengers: Infinity War.
