AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: Anthony and Joe Russo in Talks to Direct Film

Anthony and Joe Russo

Anthony and Joe Russo May Helm Avengers: Infinity War. Ever since the announcement of Avengers: Infinity War, people have though that Joss Whedon would return to direct the third Avengers film. However, Marvel seems to be leaning towards duo Anthony and Joe Russo to direct it.

According to ComicBookMovie, the directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier are in talks to direct the two-part film. The site revealed that the Russo brothers have been so successful with their first Marvel film so with Captain America: Civil War as their next project, it seems that they may take over the reins of The Avengers franchise from Joss Whedon. With this piece of info, does this mean that Joss Whedon will be taking a backseat with the third Avengers film as he takes a break from the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Let’s not forget that he’s already working on Avengers: Age of Ultron, which comes out next year.

If Joss won’t direct the next Avengers film, the Russos seem to be a good choice to direct it, which is being filmed back-to-back. What do you guys think of them taking over the third Avengers film?
