Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans Movie Trailer has premiered. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is directed by Werner Herzog and stars Nicholas Cage, Val Kilmer, Eva Mendes, and Xzibit. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans‘ synopsis: “The main character is Terrence McDonagh [Nicholas Cage], a New Orleans Police sergeant, who starts out as a good cop, receiving a medal and a promotion to lieutenant for heroism during Hurricane Katrina. During his heroic act, McDonagh injures his back and later becomes addicted to prescription pain medication. McDonagh struggles with addictions and finds himself involved with drug dealer Big Fate [Xzibit], who is suspected of murdering a family of African immigrants.” The promo trailer for this film made it seem like a dark comedy but this trailer actually has me interested in seeing this film. Sounds like House but with a badge. I saw the original Bad Lieutenant starring Harvey Keitel and was underwhelmed. I hope this film lives up to the hype this trailer will generate.
