Batman: The Killing Joke release dates

The disc and digital Batman: The Killing Joke release dates have been revealed. Batman: The Killing Joke (2016), directed by Sam Liu, will be released on three different formats (Digital HD and Blu-ray, and DVD Disc) by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. The Digital HD version of Batman: The Killing Joke will be released on July 23, 2016. The Blu-ray Disc and DVD Disc releases of Batman: The Killing Joke will street on August 2, 2016.

It had been unusual that DC had not released the street date for Batman: The Killing Joke when the trailer premiered. One would think that would be the perfect opportunity to get the word out about when fans of the original graphic novel could finally get their hands on the film version of such a classic Batman and Joker storyline. Producers of this film had other plans. Perhaps they didn’t know until recently, which would explain the delay in releasing that information.

Batman: The Killing Joke stars Mark Hamill, Tara Strong, Ray Wise, and Kevin Conroy.

Batman: The Killing Joke‘s plot synopsis: based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland,  “As Batman hunts for the escaped Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime attacks the Gordon family to prove a diabolical point mirroring his own fall into madness.”
