BATMAN V SUPERMAN (2016): Film Rating Officially Set for PG-13

Ben Affleck Batman v Superman

Batman v Superman To Be Rated PG-13. Next year’s highly anticipated superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has officially received it’s MPAA rating. The association gave Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel follow-up a PG-13 rating when the film comes out March 25, 2016.

The PG-13 rating was given by the MPAA board after reviewing the content of the film and decided on that rating for “intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality”. Getting this rating isn’t much of a surprise, given that every Batman movie since Tim Burton’s 1989 version was given the PG-13 rating. Same thing went for the Superman films, including Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns and Snyder’s Man of Steel, which got the same rating. As long as it doesn’t diminish the tone of the film, audiences shouldn’t worry so much.

What do you guys think of the rating? Does it seem fair or should it have received a different rating due to it’s content?
