New Images Released for Batman v Superman. We have some awesome shots from the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showing the upcoming battle between two DC giants, with another huge enemy coming their way in the form of Doomsday.

Released by Empire Online, these new shots show both Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) in what looks like a spectacle that would be great to see on the big screen. While we see these two titans fight it out amongst themselves, they are unaware that another threat is in their midst, the arrival of Doomsday. “To go up against heroes like Batman and Superman, we wanted to introduce one of the DC Universe’s most iconic and powerful villains,” director Zack Snyder explains. “He is essentially an unstoppable force. He poses a real threat to the world within the film.”

Producer Charles Roven also spoke with the magazine about the film, explaining the very dark path that Batman is heading towards.

[Batman] is not giving people a chance. He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, he has also become the jury and executioner. He’s older, [and] he’s seen the worst of what man can do. He’s been darkened by it, he’s tougher, he’s angrier, I guess. He’s still lost those that are near and dear to him, and not necessarily from old age or disease.

This may be a nod to Batman’s sidekick Robin, and how the Boy Wonder fits into the film will be something that we are all looking forward to. So check out the new images from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Batman v Superman comes out in theaters worldwide on March 25, 2016.
