BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (2016): Zack Snyder Hints At What Comes Next

Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice

Zack Snyder discusses Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The 300 and Watchmen director explained what he was trying to accomplish with the movie and where it would go from there.

Elaborating on earlier comments that he intended Batman v Superman to be a sequel of sorts to Man of Steel, Snyder drew a connection between Superman’s actions in that movie and Batman’s subsequent anxieties over his place in the world. He said the notorious final battle between Superman and General Zod will play a direct role in Bruce Wayne’s hostility towards the superpowered Kryptonian.

In addition, the director dropped several hints at how the larger Justice League will be introduced in the franchise. He assured audiences that each of the characters would have a firm grounding in the original source material and spoke in particular about the importance of doing Wonder Woman right:

Snyder then spoke about the individual and unique powers that each member of the Justice League have and how he plans to introduce them into the DCEU. “We’ve been strict with our rules. What they can do – Batman, Superman, Flash, Cyborg – we really are hard on ourselves because we want all those things to have a reality, a mythological grounding.” The director also spoke about how he’s made sure that Wonder Woman’s introduction into the DCEU is the one she deserves. “Female empowerment is a thing I’ve gone after in all my films. They all have strong female representation. It’s about time Wonder Woman was represented correctly.”
