Birthday‘s plot synopsis: “M (Natalie Eleftheriadis) is the highest paid professional of the many girls at Scarlet’s, but, even on her 25th birthday, it’s business as usual. M’s trade is sex, but sex doesn’t sell the way it used to; what client’s are searching for, paying for… is love. The working girl in “the oldest profession” who wants more is a motif we have seen many times before, most recently in X and Sleeping Beauty. The color palette present in Birthday looks far deeper and darker than the one present in X.
Birthday also stars Natasha St. Clare Johnson, Chantal Contouri, and Vicki Mueller.
