Netflix Orders New Black Mirror Episodes. Digital streaming service Netflix is ordering 12 new episodes of Black Mirror, a British science fiction television anthology series that was created by Charlie Brooker. The new episodes will be executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones, who will also serve as Black Mirror‘s showrunners. The new episodes of Black Mirror will be exclusive to Netflix and their subscribers. House of Tomorrow will produce the episodes.

Brooker is writing all of the new episodes, like he did for these previous episodes: “The National Anthem”, “Fifteen Million Merits”, “Be Right Back”, “White Bear”, “The Waldo Moment”, and the Christmas special “White Christmas.”

Jesse Armstrong wrote “The Entire History of You.”

The original seasons and Christmas special included TV and film stars like: Jessica Brown-FindlayRory Kinnear, Hayley AtwellDomhnall Gleeson, Toby KebbellOona Chaplin, and Jon Hamm.

Production on the new episodes is slated to begin in late 2015 in the UK.

Brooker had this to say about his new deal with Netflix:

“It’s all very exciting — a whole new bunch of Black Mirror episodes on the most fitting platform imaginable. Netflix connects us with a global audience so that we can create bigger, stranger, more international and diverse stories than before, whilst maintaining that ‘Black Mirror‘ feel. I just hope none of these new story ideas come true.”
