Blade Runner 2049 International TV Spot

An extended international movie TV commercial for Blade Runner 2049 (2017) has premiered via Sony Pictures Releasing UK. This is the best promo for the Blade Runner sequel, far better than all of the movie trailers and movie images that have been released for the film. I previously thought that Blade Runner 2049 would be a hodgepodge of ideas. Loosely knitted together inside a loosely realized future landscape, far different from the tightly woven original film. I may have been wrong.

LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) finds himself in a perilous predicament when he and LAPD Lieutenant Joshi (Robin Wright) seem to discover what Niander Wallace (Jared Leto) is up to in Blade Runner 2049.

From what is shown in this U.K. extended TV spot, one of the results of that discovery is a fight between Officer K and Luv (Sylvia Hoeks).

Blade Runner 2049‘s plot synopsis: “Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”

Blade Runner 2049 stars Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista, and Jared Leto.
