BLADE RUNNER 2049 (2017): Sequel May Feature Replicant From Original

Replicant From Original Film Reportedly To Appear In Blade Runner 2049

Sources close to the production of Blade Runner 2049 are rumored to say that a replicant from the original 1982 film will return for the sequel.

According to The Terminator Fans, figures involved with the movie claim that one of the four replicants from the first movie will appear in 2049. No word was offered as to which replicant it is, however:

The options for which character will return include Rutger Hauer’s Roy Batty, Daryl Hannah’s Pris, Sean Young’s Rachael, or maybe even Harrison Ford himself as a young Deckard. You may recall that director Denis Villeneuve previously teased how the long-running debate of Deckard’s true identity would be handled in the sequel, reassuring fans that he would “take care of” the mystery. Could we be seeing an instance where Harrison Ford returns as both the older, real Deckard in addition to the younger, Replicant Deckard for the sequel? Allowing fans of both sides of the theory to feel satisfied that their viewpoint on the original film remains intact? It remains to be seen, but sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos.
