Bloodshot and Harbinger Gets Five-Picture Deal Including a Crossover

Bloodshot Harbinger

Valiant and DMG Plan to Adapt Bloodshot and Harbinger Into Five Films. It’s only been a month since Valiant Entertainment and DMG announced they were adapting all of their comics into films. Well, the deal also includes a live-action adaptation of Bloodshot and Harbinger.

According to Deadline, Fast & Furious franchise producer Neal Moritz and Sony Pictures are teaming with Valiant Entertainment and DMG to create five films based on popular franchises Bloodshot and Harbinger. With this new deal, each property will be getting two films each along with a crossover film titled Harbinger Wars.

DMG has invested over $300 million on Valiant, so the company will co-produce and co-finance all of Valiant’s films. The company will also be in charge of marketing and distributing the films in China. Sony Pictures has become the first of many Hollywood studios to become part of the effort to bring Valiant Comics into the mainstream media following by example with films like The Amazing Spider-Man films and Iron Man 3.

Bloodshot will be the first film in the franchise to come out with a release in 2017. John Wick directors David Leitch and Chad Stahleski will be filming the feature with the script being written by Kick-Ass 2’s Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer. The next film after that will be Harbinger with a script by Heisserer and produced by the Bloodshot team. Both these films will have a sequel before the characters meet in Harbinger Wars, a crossover pic inspired by the 2013 comic book crossover.

Are you guys psyched to see Bloodshot and Harbinger getting their own films before meeting up in a crossover movie?
