Jason Bourne was Number One at the box office over the weekend with $60 Million. Star Trek Beyond was Second with $24 Million for $105.7 Million so far. Bad Moms premiered in Third Place with $23.4 Million. The Secret Life of Pets was Fourth with $18.2 Million for $296.1 Million so far. Lights Out was Fifth with $10.8 Million. Ice Age: Collision Course, Ghostbusters, Nerve (which premiered this weekend), Finding Dory, and The Legend of Tarzan rounded out the top ten respectively.
Jason Bourne is a 2016 American thriller film directed by Paul Greengrass. Written by Greengrass and film editor Christopher Rouse, it is the fifth installment of the Bourne film series and the direct sequel to 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum. Matt Damon reprises his role as the main character, former CIA assassin and psychogenic amnesiac Jason Bourne. In the film, Bourne remains on the run from CIA hit squads as he tries to uncover hidden truths about his past. When his friend, former CIA operative Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles), hacks into agency databases to uncover evidence about its illegal assassination programs and on Bourne’s recruitment, and passes this information to him, he begins to understand who he truly is. After Parsons’ breach, CIA Director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) orders CIA cyber head Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander) to find the pair. The film also stars Vincent Cassel and Riz Ahmed.
Bad Moms is a 2016 American comedy film directed and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The film stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Annie Mumolo, Jay Hernandez, Jada Pinkett Smith and Christina Applegate.
Nerve is a 2016 American crime techno-thriller survival film directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and written by Jessica Sharzer, based on the 2012 novel of the same name. The film stars Emma Roberts, Dave Franco and Juliette Lewis, and revolves around an online objective truth or dare video game, which allows people to enlist as “players” or “watchers” as the game intensifies.
