Box Office: July 8-10, 2011: TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

Popcorn went to the robots again. Transformers: Dark of the Moon was Number One at the box office for the second weekend in a row with $47 Million for $261 Million so far. Horrible Bosses premiered in Second Place with $28.1 Million. Zookeeper premiered in Third Place with $21 Million. Cars 2 was Fourth with $15 Million for $148.8 Million so far. Bad Teacher was Fifth with $9 Million. Larry Crowne, Super 8, Monte Carlo, Green Lantern, and Mr. Popper’s Penguins rounded out the top ten respectively.

Horrible Bosses is a 2011 black comedy film directed by Seth Gordon, written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein based on a script by Michael Markowitz. The film stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx and follows three friends (Bateman, Day and Sudekis) who decide to murder their respective overbearing, abusive bosses (Spacey, Aniston, and Farrell) who they believe are standing in the way of their happiness.

Zookeeper is a 2011 comedy film starring Kevin James, Rosario Dawson, Leslie Bibb, Ken Jeong, Donnie Wahlberg, Joe Rogan, Thomas Gottschalk, Brandon Keener, and featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Nick Nolte, Don Rickles, Judd Apatow, Jon Favreau, Cher and Faizon Love. The film is produced by Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, and is co-distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia Pictures.
