Box Office June 8-10, 2012. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted premiered in the Number One spot at the box office  this weekend with $60.3 Million. Prometheus (reviewed here: Prometheus (2012) Film Review) premiered in Second Place with $50 Million. Snow White and the Huntsman was Third with $23 Million. Men in Black 3 was Fourth with $13.5 Million with $135.5 Million so far. The Avengers was Fifth with $10.8 Million for $571.8 Million so far. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Battleship, The Dictator, and Moonrise Kingdom rounded out the top ten respectively.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (also known simply as Madagascar 3) is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated comedy film, produced by DreamWorks Animation, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It is the third installment of the series, following Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and it is the first film in the series to be released in 3D. The film is directed by Eric Darnell, Tom McGrath and Conrad Vernon.

Prometheus is a 2012 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron. Set in the late 21st century, the story centers on the crew of the spaceship Prometheus as they follow a star map discovered among the remnants of several ancient Earth cultures. Led to a distant world and an advanced civilization, the crew seeks the origins of humanity, but instead discovers a threat that could cause the extinction of the human race.
