Box Office March 7-9, 2014. 300: Rise of An Empire premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $45 Million. Mr. Peabody & Sherman premiered in Second Place with $32.5 Million. Non-Stop was Third with $15.3 Million. The LEGO Movie was Fourth with $11 Million for $224 Million so far. Son of God was Fifth with $10 Million. The Monuments Men3 Days to KillFrozen, 12 Years a Slave, and Ride Along (for the second weekend in a row) rounded out the top ten respectively.

300: Rise of an Empire is a 2014 American fantasy action film directed by Noam Murro. It is a follow-up to the 2006 film 300, taking place before, during, and after the events of that film with a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Salamis. It is based on the as-yet-unreleased Frank Miller graphic novel Xerxes. Zack Snyder, who directed and co-wrote the original film, acts as writer and producer on Rise of an Empire.

The cast includes Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, David Wenham, and Andrew Tiernan reprising their roles from the first film, alongside Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Hans Matheson, Callan Mulvey, and Jack O’Connell.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated comic science fiction film based on the characters from the Peabody’s Improbable History segments of the 1960s animated television series The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. It is produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Rob Minkoff is the director, and Alex Schwartz and Denise Nolan Cascino are the producers. Tiffany Ward, daughter of Jay Ward, one of the creators of the original series, is the executive producer. Mr. Peabody & Sherman features the voices of Ty Burrell, Max Charles, Ariel Winter, Stephen Colbert, and Leslie Mann. Mr. Peabody & Sherman is the first DreamWorks animated feature to feature characters from the Classic Media library since DreamWorks Animation’s 2012 acquisition of Classic Media.
