Box Office October 12-14, 2012Taken 2 was Number One at the box office for the second week in a row with $22.5 Million. Argo premiered in Second Place with $20.1 Million. Sinister premiered in Third with $14.7 Million. Hotel Transylvania was Fourth with $17.3 Million for $102.1 Million so far. Here Comes the Boom premiered in Fifth Place with $12 Million. Pitch Perfect, Frankenweenie, Looper, Seven Psychopaths, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower rounded out the top ten respectively.

Argo is a 2012 American thriller film directed by Ben Affleck based loosely on Tony Mendez’s account of the historical rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. The film stars Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, and John Goodman.

It follows true-crime writer Ellison (Ethan Hawke) as he discovers a box of home movies that put his family in danger. The film employs “found footage” along with traditional cinematography.

Seven Psychopaths is a 2012 comedy film written, co-produced and directed by Martin McDonagh. It stars Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, and Tom Waits.
