The Boys Comics

Garth Ennis’ Comic Book Series The Boys Becoming a TV Series for Cinemax. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are staying in business with Garth Ennis as the duo is looking to adapt another one of his comic books The Boys into a TV series for premium cable Cinemax.

After adapting Preacher for AMC, another one of Garth Ennis’ comic book series called The Boys is also getting the TV treatment. After many years suffering in development hell, a live-action version is finally back on track as a TV series rather than a movie. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Neal Moritz will be looking to adapt the series, according to Deadline. With the series coming to premium cable, expect a much faithful adaptation since there are no restrictions in airing a show on their network. Supernatural creator Eric Kripke will be an executive producer on the project.

The series follows an assorted team of CIA workers named Billy Butcher, Mother’s Milk, ‘Wee’ Hughie, The Frenchman and The Female who work under the name ‘The Boys’. Existing in a world full of superheroes, Butcher and the team must keep the superhero community in line, even if it requires brutal force.

This would mark Cinemax’s second comic book adaptation after picking up Robert Kirkman’s Outcast to air this June. Will you guys be watching The Boys when it gets released?
