CAMELOT (2011): Behind the Scenes Video: Eva Green, Joseph Fiennes

Eva Green, Camelot

The Camelot Behind the Scenes, First Look Video has premiered. Chris Chibnall and Michael Hirst‘s Camelot (2011) stars Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green, Tamsin Egerton, Claire Forlani, and Peter Mooney. Camelot (2011) plot synopsis: “Based on ‘Le Morte D’Arthur‘, In the wake of King Uther’s sudden death, chaos threatens to engulf Britain. When the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future, he installs the young and impetuous Arthur, Uther’s unknown son and heir, who has been raised from birth as a commoner. But Arthur’s cold and ambitious half sister Morgan will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control. These are dark times indeed for the new King, with Guinevere being the only shining light in Arthur’s harsh world. Faced with profound moral decisions, and the challenge of uniting a kingdom broken by war and steeped in deception, Arthur will be tested beyond imagination. Forget everything you think you know … this is the story of Camelot that has never been told before.” The first two things I thought of when I began watching this Camelot (2011) footage was Merlin on The SyFy Channel and HBO’s Game of Thrones. I have seen more footage of Game of Thrones so its unfair to compare them at this point but Game of Thrones seems to have more grit than Camelot. I have never seen an episode of Merlin so I don’t know how that production holds up to either. I sincerely doubt that Eva Green, Joseph Fiennes or  Cliare Forlani would be part of the cast if the script were not high quality and Michael Hirst’s work on The Tudors was great. What would be exciting is if this TV series had the sand of Excalibur. Now that is how you bring King Arthur’s story to life. Check out the Camelot behind the scenes first look video below and leave your thoughts on it. Camelot premieres on April 1, 2011 on Starz.
