Concept Art for Vincenzo Natali’s Unmade Neuromancer, It, Swamp Thing, and Predator Movies Posted Online. Director Vincenzo Natali, known for the independent cult-horror films Cube (1997) and Splice (2009), has recently been removed from the Neuromancer project. He was in pre-production as director for quite some time now, and various unknown forces have led to his detachment from the film. It is unclear what exactly led to this – it may have been simple issue of there not being enough money offered to fund his vision.

Nevertheless, we do get a glimpse of his vision for not only Neuromancer, but other projects he’s been attached to, as well. Take a look at some of the photos posted on his twitter account for Natali’s unmade It, Swamp Thing, Predator, and Neuromancer projects.

William Gibson‘s Neuromancer is a modern science-fiction classic, and has the chance to stand toe-to-toe with Philip K. Dick‘s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (adapted to screen as Blade Runner). It has thematic heft and substance that the sci-fi films we’re currently getting could only beg for. It’s a shame that Natali didn’t get the chance to continue on building this vision into tangible reality. Similar to Alan Moore‘s Swamp Thing, it would be great to finally get the cinematic adaptations we all know are possible. Hopefully somebody at the studios understands this and carries the torch. Regarding It – since Cary Fukunaga‘s departure, there’s been talk of it heading back to Warner Bros. and continuing development without Fukunaga. Hopefully that turns out well. We’ll see.
