DAREDEVIL (2015): New Image Teases Connection to Absorbing Man

Murdock Creel

New Still From Daredevil Makes Connection to Absorbing Man. A new promotional image from Netflix’s new series Daredevil makes a startling connection to a famous villain. The villain in question is none other than Carl “Crusher” Creel, who is also known as the Absorbing Man.

In Daredevil’s official Twitter Page, a post was made with a fight poster advertising a match between two fighters, Battlin’ Jack Murdock and Carl “Crusher” Creel. The caption in the photo reads, “Be careful of the Murdock boys. They got the devil in them.” Jack Murdock of course is the father of main character Matt Murdock/Daredevil, but the reveal of Creel may raise a few eyebrows to fans. The reason is because Creel already made an appearance in ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who was played by Brian Patrick Wade. Wade is actually only a few years older than Daredevil portrayer Charlie Cox. So how did Creel get to fight Jack Murdock all those years ago?

We have a few theories that could work for chronological purposes. One, the Creel we encountered in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could actually be Creel’s son. Another theory could be that Creel has a regenerative factor after gaining his powers of absorbing matter, causing him to age slowly. Whatever the case, we hope that all will be explained when Daredevil comes out on Netflix this April.
