Netflix May Debut Daredevil’s Second Season on March 25. Rumors have been swirling that Daredevil’s upcoming second season would unfold in March. It seems that there’s some truth in them as numerous sources are saying that Netflix aims to launch the new season on March 25, 2016.
ComicBook.com first gave word that they’ve been hearing that the streaming service is looking to release the Marvel series on March 25. This date just so happens to be the same date as the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which pits a war between DC and Marvel. The first season of Daredevil released last year to unanimous praise from both critics and fans, so it’s no wonder everyone is looking forward to the second season. This makes things interesting as DC Entertainment is looking to establish their own cinematic universe after their rival Marvel successfully built their own.
Having these two properties clash on the same day can either help or hurt both sides as the two caters to comic book fans. People may likely do both during opening weekend, but some casual fans may end up doing one or the other. So far, Marvel has yet to comment on this latest development.
This isn’t the first time that the two comic book properties fought for the same date. Batman v Superman was originally going to be released on May 6, 2016, clashing with Marvel’s similarly themed film Captain America: Civil War. However, that was later changed once DC bumped their movie up five weeks.
