Dark Was The Night “Calm Down” Clip. The Jack Heller directed film has been completed for quite a while now, but it seems that the official US release is on July 24, 2015. This is the first time I’m hearing of this film, and I have to say I’m quite excited. Just take a look at the synopsis, and tell me that’s not classic, minimal horror: “An evil is unleashed in a small town when a logging company sets up shop in the neighboring woods.”
That’s the kind of horror I like. Something lurks in the neighboring woods. Hell yes. Sold.

All of this looks great to me, and I can’t wait to watch this one by myself, at night, at the end of this month.
