DEADPOOL (2016): New Trailer for Now R Rated Film

Deadpool Pretty Little 'Poolers Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Deadpool TV commercial #6 marks the spot with an R, Mateys! That… just had to get out of my system, somehow. After what must have seemed like a long time, for the MPAA to formally arrive at a no-brainer decision, Tim Miller’s Merc with a Mouth movie – aka Deadpool, as some have taken to calling it – has officially received its R rating. That would be an R for strong violence & language throughout, sexual content, and graphic nudity, folks. Source fans have made it clear that they would settle for nothing less, if the film is to do the character any justice. As the dreaded “not yet rated” disclaimer has been a point of concern, this formal announcement should do more to placate source fans than any trailer release, thus far; so now that the rating matter has been settled, let’s get back to more trailers.

TV spot #6, referred to as the ‘Pretty Little ‘Poolers’ spot (I’m thinking Pretty Little Liars, maybe), puts an X chromosome – rather than gene – to some already familiar material. Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, get some of Ryan Reynolds screen time (but Wade always gets the last word).

Deadpool also stars T.J. MillerEd SkreinRachel SheenAndre TricoteuxLeslie UggamsKaran SoniPaul LazenbySean QuanAndre TricoteuxTaylor HicksonJed Rees, and Ben Wilkinson.
