The third and final TV show trailer for The Defenders has been released by Netflix. This The Defenders television trailer features new scenes and the team grudgingly working together, using each other’s abilities to their advantage during various precarious situations. The greatest example of this in this The Defenders promo was when Danny Rand / Iron Fist (Finn Jones) hides behind Luke Cage (Mike Colter) as thugs with guns fire bullets at the two of them. When their clips are spent, Iron Fist, with his vast material arts skills, attacks them.
The new Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) is the element of The Defenders that I am interested in the most. That narrative element was shown the least in this trailer. This The Defenders promo was all about the potential camaraderie between the TV series’ heroes and their allies.
The Defenders‘ plot synopsis: “Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.”
The Defenders‘ also stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Wai Ching Ho, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Eka Darville, Carrie-Anne Moss, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, Rachael Taylor, Simone Missick, and Rosario Dawson.
