Denial Trailer and Poster. Mick Jackson‘s Denial (2016) movie trailer and movie poster star Rachel Weisz, Andrew Scott, Timothy Spall, Tom Wilkinson, and Mark Gatiss. Denial‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Deborah E. Lipstadt, “DENIAL recounts Deborah E. Lipstadt’s (Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz) legal battle for historical truth against David Irving (Cannes Award winner Timothy Spall), who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust denier. In the English legal system, the burden of proof is on the accused, therefore it was up to Lipstadt and her legal team to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust occurred.”

I had not heard of this film before seeing this trailer. The presentation given at the beginning of this trailer was full of surprises. Holocaust denier David Irving (Timothy Spall) standing up was the highlight of the scene. All eyes shifted to him and the momentum of the trailer accelerated accordingly.

It is amazing that people actually try to deny the Holocaust with so many eye-witnesses to the event and with so many records attesting to it.

This is the second historical film Bleecker Street Media is releasing this year. The other film is Anthropoid, which stars Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan.
