The Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark teaser trailer has premiered. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is directed by Troy Nixey, produced by Guillermo del Toro, and stars Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes, Bailee Madison, Alan Dale, and Eliza Taylor Cotter. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark‘s plot synopsis: “a remake of the 1973 ABC made-for-television horror film of the same name, a young girl, after moving in with her father and his girlfriend soon discovers creatures are living in the house with them. Originally thought to be friendly, she soon learns otherwise.” I am really looking forward to what del Toro helps to produce with this film after the excellence of Pan’s Labyrinth. In addition, I have not seen Katie Holmes in a film in some time and Guy Pearce is always great. With those two headliners and Del Toro in the mix, it should be good. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark premieres on January 21, 2011.
