The first photo of Karl Urban as Judge Dredd in Dredd (2012) has been released. Directed by Pete Travis, co-starring Olivia Thirlby, and with a script from Alex Garland, the film has only been shooting for a little while. I have to admit I was worried there but Judge Dredd looks like Judge Dredd. The fact that screenwriter for 28 Days Later and Sunshine wrote the script for this film makes me feel a lot better about how this film will turn out as well. Official film synopsis:

Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary.
