Fear The Walking Dead Begins Shooting Second Season. AMC has officially begun production on Fear The Walking Dead’s second season, with filming to take place at Baja Studios in Mexico. The show will be shooting for it’s 15-episode second season to premiere in the spring of 2016.

The companion series to The Walking Dead was launched last summer and became the highest-rated first season of any series in cable history. The location where they are shooting has been used for films like Titanic, Master and Commander, and other well-known features.

“We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico. Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the ‘Fear’ saga. We couldn’t be happier,” said executive producer Dave Erickson.

The first season ended with Travis (Cliff Curtis), Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), and their families taking refuge at a beach house belonging to Strand (Colman Domingo). As civilization continues to fall in Los Angeles, Strand prepares their voyage at his yacht ‘Abigail’. The second season seems to tease that the horror drama may move it’s location to the Pacific.
