Morbius, Bloodshot, It: Chapter Two, and more movies have made recent film casting, screenwriting, and director news. These films come from movie studios primarily based in the United States and abroad. The castings, screenwriters, and directors are subject to change.


Jared Leto has been cast as Dr. Michael Morbius, a “scientist [that] tried to cure his rare blood disease only to become afflicted with a form of vampirism.”

Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama wrote the screenplay for the Daniel Espinosa-directed film.


Toby Kebbell has been cast as Axe, who may be a variant of the Bloodshot comic book character Ax, “an obnoxious self-professed computer wizard with a natural affinity for electronics.”

This actor joins already cast Talulah Riley, Alex HernandezVin Diesel, Sam Heughan, Eiza Gonzalez, and Michael Sheen.

Bloodshot‘s plot synopsis: based on the comic series by Valiant Entertainment, “Bloodshot tells the story of a former soldier killed and brought back to life with technological upgrades, filling his body with billions of nanobots. This allows him to be the perfect soldier by healing from injuries, shapeshift, and even interact with technology.”

Eric Heisserer wrote the screenplay for the Dave Wilson-directed film.

It: Chapter Two

Teach Grant has been cast as the adult version of Henry Bowers, “the vicious bully and antagonist from the first film.”

Jess Weixler has been cast as Bill Denbrough’s wife.

This actor and actress join already cast: James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Isaiah Mustafa, and Bill Skarsgård.

Gary Dauberman wrote the screenplay for the Andy Muschietti-directed film.
