Spawn, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Star Wars: Episode 9 have made recent film casting, screenwriting, and director news. These films come from movie studios primarily based in the United States and abroad. The castings, screenwriters, and directors are subject to change.

Star Wars: Episode 9

Billy Dee Williams has been cast as Lando Calrissian, reprising his role for the original Star Wars trilogy.

This actress joins already cast: Keri Russell, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver.

Chris Terrio and J.J. Abrams co-wrote the script for the J.J. Abrams-directed film.

Star Wars: Episode 9 will be released in U.S. theaters through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 20, 2019.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

J.B. Smoove has been cast in an unspecified role.

This actor joins already cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Marisa TomeiMichael KeatonMichael Mando, and Tom Holland.

Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the screenplay for the Jon Watts-directed film.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in U.S. theaters through Sony Pictures on July 5, 2019.

Jeremy Renner cast as Police Detective Maximilion Steven Percival “Twitch” Williams III, Twitch is mainly seen as the “brains” of the [two man detective group. The other half of the group is Sam Burke]. He is the one who usually solves or puts the pieces together in the rare crimes the detectives encounter. A brilliant mathematician who excelled at trigonometry, “Twitch” was his despised high-school nickname.”

Todd McFarlane is writing and directing the film.

Backyard Legend

Winston Duke has been cast as MMA fighter Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, a “backyard brawler turned mixed martial artist who rose to fame and from homelessness after YouTube audiences were drawn to his backyard fight videos. Slice died at the age of 42 from heart failure and a liver mass in June 2016.”

Andy Weiss wrote the screenplay for the film.

Anderson Falls

Shawn Ashmore has been cast as Detective Jeff Anderson, “who, after his wife’s suicide, becomes convinced that she has in fact been murdered. Obsessed with his investigation, Anderson finds out that his wife was the victim of a team of father-and-son serial killers and sets out to stop them from killing other women.”

Gary Cole has been cast in an unspecified role.

Julien Seri is directing the film.
