Spider-Man: Homecoming

Jon Watts is in the middle of negotiations to helm Marvel and Sony Pictures’ planned Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. As the director of the original film, it was was always a possibility that Watts would return for the follow-up. It is unknown what the film will be called, although Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has flatly stated that it will not be called Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.


Forest Whitaker is set to play a a guest role in the fourth season of Empire. Whitaker has appeared in such films as Arrival and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and earned an Academy Award for his performance as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. He will play the veteran musician Uncle Eddie over the course of several episodes on the show.

The X-Files

Mitch Pileggi is ready to return as FBI assistant director Walter Skinner for the eleventh season of The X-Files. Pileggi has appeared as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully’s superior since the first season of the show.

Transformers Combiner Wars

Peter Cullen, Wil Wheaton, and Michael Dorn will all lend their voices to Transformers Titan Return, the second installment of the animated miniseries Transformers: Combiner Wars.

Mega Man

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are being eyed to direct Mega Man.
