X-Men: Dark Phoenix, X-Men: The New Mutants, I Hate Kids, and other films and TV shows have made recent casting news.

These productions come from studios based primarily in the United States. The castings are subject to change.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Lamar Johnson has been cast in 20th Century Fox‘s planned superhero film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Johnson is best known for his role on The Next Step, a Canadian teen program that earned a BAFTA Kids Vote award in 2015. It is unknown what character he will play in the movie, although Evan Peters has also been announced as returning as Quicksilver for the project.

X-Men: The New Mutants

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief actress Rosario Dawson has withdrawn from negotiations to appear in X-Men: The New Mutants as Dr. Cecilia Reyes. As a result, 20th Century Fox has turned to Queen of the South star Alice Braga to fill the role.

I Hate Kids

Titus Burgess and Tom Everett Scott have both joined the cast of the John Asher comedy I Hate Kids. Scott previously appeared in La La Land, while Burgess is recognizable from his role on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

The Man in the High Castle

Laura Mennell and Eijiro Ozaki will have both signed on for recurring roles in the third season of The Man in the High Castle.

Fake News

John Savage and Blanca Blanco are set to star in the indie thriller Fake News.
