Twin Peaks

Kyle MacLachlan says that there have been “no discussions” so far about the possibility of renewing Twin Peaks for further seasons. The news comes in the wake of the Showtime revival’s season finale just last night. Should the network decide to go ahead and renew the series, it would hardly be without precedent as Fox committed to making additional seasons of The X-Files after reviving the program for a “special event” series in 2016.

Maleficent 2

Angelina Jolie describes the planned follow-up to Maleficent as a “really strong sequel.” Originally, it was speculated that the Academy Award-winning Girl, Interrupted actress would next appear in Bride of Fraknenstein, but it appears that she has opted to move forward with the Disney fantasy film. Additionally, she reveals that works is currently underway on the script.

Star Wars Rebels has been set for a Monday, October 16th premiere date by Disney XD.
