Confederate

HBO Programming president Casey Bloys announced that the network is getting ready to produce a new original program called Confederate. Coming from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the planned series will take place in an alternate timeline where the Southern states successfully seceded from the Union and the two powers are now on the verge of a modern day civil war.

Venom

Ruben Fleischer opened up about what viewers can expect for his upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Venom. Speaking in an interview with Variety, the Gangster Squad director said that there’s a “dark element” to the character and a horror sensibility to the film similar to those of John Carpenter and David Cronenberg.

Teen Wolf

MTV has drawn up plans to reboot Teen Wolf after the show’s sixth season. Set to premiere on Sunday, July 30th, the next season will be this iteration of the program’s last, but the network is interested in working with series creator Jeff Davis to revamp the property for a new revival and fresh direction.

Silver & Black

Gina Prince-Bythewood compared her planned superhero spin-off Silver & Black to Thelma & Louise during an interview with Variety in that both deal with women who are hostile towards each other yet need to cooperate to survive.

Triple Threat

Well Go USA Entertainment obtains the North American distribution rights to Triple Threat.
